Derek Smith
My name is Derek Smith. Born 11-22-1985 in Fontana California. I am currently 6'8 350lbs. I started arm wrestling around 11 years ago, i was a professional video game player, at a national championship in vegas one year I met a 15 year old kid who destroyed me, turns out he was a professional arm wrestler as well. I vowed to learn how to arm wrestle and became utterly obsessed. Over the years i have competed in many tournaments. Some notable wins would be over names like Todd Hutchings, Ron Bath, BJ Fokakis, Eric Woelfel, Tom Nelson. I have won tons of local events i placed 9th at the world championships in Budapest Hungary in 2017, I am currently the undisputed 'King Of California' right handed (left handed soon), i am ranked 9th in North America left handed. About 7 years ago i started my own team called 'Alpha Empire' which steadily grew to a roster over 60 deep, the team is doing very well creating such monsters as Mega Mike. My plans for the sport is to become #1 in the world. My next match is against Tim Bresnan on January 26th in Atlantic City. Tim is ranked #4 in north america and 9th in the world. This will be a big step up for me. I also am the admin for 'ArmWrestling' on reddit (7,400 members) and the admin for the discord server 'ArmWrestling' (400 active member). I have a Youtube channel where i do a weekly podcast and other vlog style videos all centered around ArmWrestling.
